Approach: My role as a therapist is to facilitate your journey into self-discovery and guide you towards your personal goals. My aim is to empower you to remove emotional and psychological roadblocks. I am dedicated to providing a warm, supportive, and safe space for you to explore and grow. Empathy, compassion, and deep listening are the hallmarks of my practice. I provide a non-judgmental, anti-racist, and culturally sensitive counselling service in which I help you identify your difficulties and teach you the necessary skills to live a more meaningful life. In my practice, I keep you in mind and customize my approach based on your needs.
My approach pulls from evidence-based therapies like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT).
Training/Experience: I received a Master's degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy from the University of Toronto. I have experience working with youth, adults, and seniors from diverse backgrounds and communities. I have provided counselling and psychotherapy through online platforms, by phone, in community agencies, and in hospital settings. Most recently, I provided psychotherapy in the Ontario Structured Psychotherapy program at Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences.
